Again, I say huh?  Did you read the original post by Paul?  Apparently not.  No where did Weedmonk state that Apple produced the Wii.  

I searched Microsoft's site for this.  It is apparently the correct link.  However, it looks like they removed the page.

Its good to see Microsoft being proactive in explaining some functionality of Vista to dispell fact from fiction. Unfortunately, I don't think the Anti-Vista faction will be dissuaded from their campaign. Personally, I wish they'd fire back in commercial form and squash these negative perceptions.

While I have your attention, should I install SP3 for XP? My real question is speed concern. Is it faster, slower or unchanged from SP2? I have 4 computers to update, all different ages.

As always, your IT staff should test applications before deployment.  For home users, there's no reason not to - it includes all previous updates in a single package, so maintenance is much easier from that point forward.  Performance isn't affected much.

Ocean, I'm sorry, but I'm just going to delete these kinds of posts. They have absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. I posted about the NPD April numbers in Short Takes on Friday.

Thanks Waethorn, I will wait for IT to give me the green light, but I will go ahead and install it on my wife and kids computers... one at a time of course! I have some time now as I need rest from planting 16 rose bushes and 12 mini rose shrubs for the wife. My back and legs are killing me.

Weathorn, it worked. Here's what happened. My 3 year old PC looks as if the OS [XP SP2] got corrupted as it could not find the Boot Drive [later found S.M.A.R.T to be healthy, so the drive was OK] . I used the

XP install disc to repair the MBR, but only got intermittent success, so I install SP 3 and Voila!, all is working. Thanks. It actually seems faster, but who knows if it was slowed by a problem with the OS. My wife and kids use it.

I spoke  [or typed] too soon. It failed to find the boot drive so I'm reformatting and installing XP again. Bummer!
