Microsoft congratulates Mozilla on Firefox 3 release

This one is cute:

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer team has sent a fancy cake to Mozilla’s Mountain View headquarters to join the celebration of the Firefox 3 release.

Thanks Sebastian!

The IE team has done this before with previous releases too.  It's definitely a nice thing, and on the topic of advertising, does a little to stem the tide of bad press.  They should do this more often, as it would go a far way to establishing a touchy feely vibe around them.

Now this proves that the I.E. 7 team is a class act. Being gracious even in competition should be the spirit of the PC industry. I think this whole Windows vs Mac nonsense has become like the East Coast vs West Coast beef. Gates and Jobs are over it and are pals again. Perhaps this single act of solidarity with Mozilla Firefox team will do more than all the trolling.
