Picasa 3 (beta) and Picasa Web Albums update

As promised, Google has released a beta version of Picasa 3 for Windows today, and updated its Picasa Web Albums online service.

Picasa 3 (beta)

Find, organize and share your photos.

Picasa is a free software download from Google that helps you:

  • Locate and organize all the photos on your computer.
  • Edit and add effects to your photos with a few simple clicks.
  • Share your photos with others through email, prints, and on the Web: it’s fast, easy and free.

Take your photos further with Picasa from Google. Find out more.

Picasa Web Albums

New! in Picasa Web Albums

  • Discover photos from around the world on the Explore page
  • Upload photos by email.
  • Add Creative Commons licensing to your photos

I've also noticed that while Google has not addressed the flat view of your albums per se, they have now started limiting the number of folders that appear on the PWA front page by default. This speeds the site dramatically for me, since I have several hundred albums.

No. Because Canada is irrelevant.  ;-)

You mean like a snide Mackie marketeer on a Windows site?
