Gears of War 2-themed Zune 120

Cesar Menendez over at the Zune Insider took some pictures of the Gears of War 2-themed Zune 120. Which goes to show you: Microsoft continues to cross-market the Xbox 360 and Zune products even while the two don’t interoperate in any meaningful way. Which is a shame.

It’s a cool-looking Zune though. :)

Related: Press release

Related: Pre-order it on Amazon.com (It’s $30 more than a regular Zune 120??)

There's nothing wrong with cross marketing as long as it relates in some way. Since the Xbox 360 and the Zune work together, it makes sense to cross brand them. Its no different than the Halo 3 branded Xbox 360's, which people did snatch up.

You can connect the 360 to the Zune, so they do interoperate in a meaninful way, Paul. Its one of the selling points of the Zune. So if you're a 360 and Zune, it makes clear sense to brand them after popular video game titles. I just wish Apple would allow the iPod to work interoperably with the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii. I know that on some consoles you can listen to audio. I just think it needs to be a full step further.

"The Simpsons" rocks....

HELL YEAH!

"Family Guy" rocks....

HELL YEAH!

The Simpsons seemed to have fallen off track for a little while, but last season, and the first episode of this season....*VERY* funny.

Family Guy is also an incredibly funny show.  They don't compete...together, they make FOX Sunday the place to be in the evening..LOL!

Love those shows.  :)

You can't listen to anything on the Wii, be it Zune/iPod/Zen so Apple shouldn't have to allow anything since Nintendo are the control freaks this generation. iPod works on 360 and PS3, I know cause I've used it for some time now for both.

While both shows are good, neither hold a candle to South Park in terms of comedy and social commentary.

Family Guy mistakes random for funny. I think there is one funny line per episode. South Park definitely nailed that show with the manitee plot device.

I prefer Family Guy and Simpsons to South Park. I like both of them (in spite of the flamebait :-)), but like The Simpsons more mainly because it was the original.
