Here's a cool add-on for Windows Media Center that lets you access FM radio stations from around the world via their Internet stations or your FM tuner...

Browse RadioTime with Windows Media Center!

Get unlimited FREE access to thousands of DJs and on-air personalities

Itunes has had this for ages.  Ever since its inception.

I don't think Itunes does have FM radio capabilities, actually.

If it does, it's certainly news to me.

Gorath: You're right that iTunes does not have FM radio capabilities, but I don't think this feature does by itself; you still need an FM tuner.

And while iTunes does offer an array of internet radio stations, it doesn't offer all of the ClearChannel content that would be available with this add-on.

For local stations you would need an FM tumer, others use the live streams that a lot of stations offer now...it sounds like moodio.fm, blip.fm, or Pandora...just integrated with Media Center. Nice add-on idea. I'll have to give it a try.

Although...blip and pandora use tracks that are hosted around the web to stream them to your PC or mobile device, rather than radio station feeds. Moodio doesn't get the Clear Channel stations either...it is not hosted in the US and Clear Chanel blocks anything from outside the US.

Good. Use it then.

I would love a Hulu add on for Windows media center where you can pause, play, or fast forward with a remote.

Boxee is very cool and since a subset of XBMC I think you will like it.   Its in Alpha and invite only for windows, open to Linux and Mac users.   Awkward TV and Boxee makes the AppleTV worth while.

I tried to load this in Windows 7 Media Center without success. Has anybody gotten it to work with Windows 7?

@Yawn!, I checked out the video on the Boxee site and it does sound very cool.

@Richardfrisch: I have used MEdia Center with Windows 7. It's buggy, but it does work.

Many analog TV tuners support FM radio.  Usually if you use an antenna on the coax port, it doubles as TV & FM tuner.  Years ago, analog cable ops would carry very clear FM radio stations over cable.  I know that in Canada, that doesn't happen any more - at least not by Rogers.
