Just updated and it seems to function fine on Windows 7. The only problem I have with it is that it insists on always displaying an item in the taskbar. When you click on that item it launches the main contacts view as a separate item in the taskbar which is kind of annoying. I think the problem stems from the fact that I have unpinned everything from my taskbar so that it only shows programs that are currently running.

I like mine.  Lots of hacks added on from Howards forum to iron out idiosyrocies, but I like it just fine.

I'm using Messenger on Windows 7 now and I don't see Paul's issue with it running outside the tray TBH. I kinda like how it's implemented and I'm beginning to take to the new task bar. Things that run in the tray just don't seem right somehow once you're used to the new way of doing things.

Not that your going to give anything resembling an intellegent response, but what does any of those OFF-TOPIC POSTING have to do with:

"Windows Live Messenger update available "

Now give us a real, no arrogant weasel answer, as to why any of that is needed in the comment section of a story again called:

"Windows Live Messenger update available"

And especially since the WindowsITPro site allows comments, making it pretty useless to post about another article over here.
