.Um, ok so did nobody notice that the IE7 patch is now out?....dont run IE so it wont matter. Now I probably will be forced to do a out of cycle patch run on my servers at work. Shavlik to the rescue.

So Canadiot is any i7 in say a Dell PC a server CPU? What makes it a server CPU, Intel calling it that or what its really being use for.

The Mac Pro currently uses Xeons, and FB-Dimms or whatever that ram is called typically found in a server, but its not a server. I thought (dont feel like looking up) that any desktop/workstation that can use dual quad cores was using the Xeon since is multi-cpu aware (not core). So is a Dell Precision using a Xeon, a server CPU or a wokstation cpu.

Please advise us....

WRONG! A Xeon is a *SERVER* CPU.

There are no Mac's with desktop CPU's.

Yes that is my prediction. Jobs will not be there, Apple is pulling out.

Perhaps some updates to high end video/photo apps, maybe a focus on the iTouch being a gaming device like those recent commercials allude to.

The Mini is over due for sure. Either dump it or bring it up to speed. If you going to keep you have to update in light of the Dell Studio and others now. Also it has quite the following and among Mac folks its a favorite for a media hub PC jacked into your TV.
