Google released this because they are working on a Linux version and Darwin happens to be a close enough code fork for an Mac Release.

Simply because some of us absolutely *loath* iPhoto, that's why.

Hats off to Google. Now lets get moving on getting Chrome over to Mac as well :)

Why does Mozilla have Firebird for OS X, given that virtually every Mac user must have a copy of Safari already? Choice is good...although, I won't use any Google apps for obvious reasons!
