This is true. No matter what the story of the day is, you can count on Wilcox to report with some sort of negative opinion towards anything Microsoft. This isn't to say that he never has anything good to day about the company, its just that he always has at least one negative remark about any move they make.

don't expect much from eweek - the "Microsoft guy" (Joe Wilcox), is a Mac fan....some objectivity there....

Of course covering Windows Vista SP2 or I umm I mean Vista R2...or Windows 7 almost everyday does not help it much.

Looking through some of this, it almost seems to open the question whether some of this could just be Vista with some 3rd party programs to do the customizations and whatnot.

Still, the program explorer concept/thing seems like something building on the whole Games Explorer, but who knows. One of the things I would think we're going to see is less extra windows for settings, like the Display Options coming up like Wallpapers, in explorer and not some other window, but one can hope since right now the experience is kind of klunky with hit and miss intergration.

Programs Explorer? Are they copying Program Manager (Win 3.x), or the Finder (Mac OS)? :P
