Isproc, off topic I have experienced the very same issues with Family Safety and Explorer...both pre and post-SP1 install. I have a support call into the OneCare Safety team, and they told me they were researching it. I hope they get this corrected...I was drawn to Family Safety because I would be able to enforce the parental controls on people who have local administrative privilages (something that cannot be done in the Vista Parental Controls).
On topic, Vista is a very good OS feature-wise...I may nto be exploiting everything, but things like Sidebar, even UAC, Built-in search, the control panel, Reliability monitor, ability to shrink partitions built in to the OS, etc. I do like it...but I am in the camp that is experiencing much buggy-ness...things like Windows Update not working out of the box, the above mentioned problems with a OneCare Product, problems with the Wi-Fi switch on my Laptop not working as it should...kinda weird, b/c I have the exact same laptop that Paul Thurrott does (the Lenovo T61). I do believe that it over time will become as good and better than XP and the bugginess with decrease (generally speaking, because I do believe there are issues out there...some don't see the issues, but there are people having problems)...whether this growing up will occurr significantly in Vista service packs or Windows 7 (like 98SE) remains to be seen...but Vista was/is a great OS and worthy successor to XP...it just needs some more maturing.
