Yeah, that's right. ReadyBoost is a passive service. It just sits in the background, and Vista sends read/writes to the flash memory-based media. However, the only thing more annoying than having the folder open upon waking the PC would be to have to remove the SD card before waking that PC.

I have a fast 2 GB SD card in my card reader which I have set up as a ReadyBoost drive. It's anyone's guess whether this actually boosts my computer's performance, though. Anyway ... every time I resume Windows from its sleep mode, the ReadyBoost folder window pops up. Not a big deal, but it is kind of annoying. Anyone have a fix for ...
