  • How to overcome the negative perception of Windows Vista?

    Paul, To the average consumer, the biggest negative perception is coming from Apple's TV "Get A Mac" commercials. We have Justin Long and John Hodgman making fun and passing on the negative perceptions of Vista. I really do think that MS does need to retaliate to these commericals BUT....

    I must point out, however, this practice is absoilutely nothing unique to Vista...manfuacturers have been doing this since....Windows 98, and probably even further back...most PCs have this tendancy. This is why so many enthuasiasts clean install their brand new machines the first time they get them...

  • Vista October fixes - What do you think?

    Im slightly interested on what people think of the vista fixes that came out this October (see Paul's blog), what do you think? I personally think that they seem to just make the whole thing a lot more stable (but no big performance increase unlike the july ones), but my keyboard still does not stop...

    You know, UAC never really bothers me. I see it probably once a day (only because I check my reliability stats each day), and only occasionally other times. Honestly, I don't feel it's much different than XP always asking me, "Do you want to download this file?.... are you sure you want...

    Windows Vista seems to be getting some negative press from everyone i know or see. I seem to be the only person that actually likes it. Most people have installed it then since removed it because eather they found it to slow, crashing alot, audio would not work, mouse would act funny, to much crap on...
